Introduction: In honor of the 60^th years anniversary for the establishment of the hydraulic engineering higher education in Mongolia, the first international conference on "HYDROSCIENCE AND ENGINEERING - 2023" is being organized by the School of Civil engineering and Architecture (SCEA), Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Groundwater Management. The conference is to address recent advances in hydroscience research and engineering and their impact in society and environment under the changing climate and condition.

Aim of the conference: This international conference aims to bring a fruitful opportunity for leading academic scientists, researchers, scholars, universities and research institutes to present findings, exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspect of water and environmental engineering.

Attendance of the conference: The conference will be attended by scientists and researchers, engineers, specialists, doctoral and master students from international community working in the field of water and environmental sectors including leaders and representatives from government organizations.

Conference topics: All aspects of hydroscience research and engineering including hydraulics, water resources management under climate change, river basin development, water energy and hydropower plant, water conveyance and distribution, irrigation management, flood controls, water quality and water treatment technology, river morphodynamics and  river rehabilitations.

Organization of the conference:

• The conference will be held on 21^st April 2023 in the international conference hall, 12^th floor, 8^th building of MUST.
• The conference will have two sessions as national and international session in hybrid mode. 
• National session will be held in Mongolian and international session in English.
• Conference participants (speakers and guests) must register by 1^st March 2023 via the link (https://forms.gle/qcXey1hKJ5RtvMgf7). Only registered participants will participate the conference.

Preliminary program of the conference

Requirements for papers and talks:

• The paper must be free the research and engineering ethics and intellectual rights problems.
• The paper will be submitted Mongolian and English language until the 20^th March 2022 via email at mongolianhydro@gmail.com.
• The Mongolian paper must be prepared according to the paper format for the Scientific proceedings of the MUST. The format is available at https://research.must.edu.mn/page/104. For English paper, any format in MS Word is acceptable.
• The basic structure of the paper will have sections such as introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions, and the sections may have sub-sections.
• The paper that meets the criteria for the single blind review will be published in a special issue of the scientific proceeding of the MUST.
• The conference presentation is 15 minutes, and the question-and-answer will be less than 5 minutes.
